Improv comedians Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche - Pinky & The Brain! - will entertain in a fascinating discussion -  and a top LA DJ will spin dinner music and later crank it up for hot VO dancing - at the VOICE 2010 Celebrity Banquet, Saturday evening, June 5, in Los Angeles.

This is a separate-ticket event at VOICE 2010, the third VoiceOver International Creative Experience, coming June 2-5 to the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, on the Avenue of the Stars in Los Angeles.

"Rob and Maurice will be joining us on stage to talk about their very successful VO careers," announce event co-producers James Alburger and Penny Abshire.

"These two are born improvisationists, comedians and actors, and they love working together!" they add. "So hold onto your hats. We don't really know what to expect, but we know it promises to be a very entertaining evening."

And the hot time will continue with dancing. "Get your groove on with your VO friends!" say Alburger and Abshire.

OPTIONAL 'BLACK TIE'

There's no dress code for the banquet, but it's an opportunity to "dress to the nines" - black tie optional, meaning a tux for guys and evening gowns for the ladies.

"We don't want you to stay away if you don't have a tux or an evening gown," say the sponsors. "That's silly. Just come! Suits for guys and a nice evening wear for gals is just fine."

However, tickets must be purchased by May 21 in order to give the hotel a head count for food. Banquet tickets will not be sold during VOICE 2010.

Tickets may be purchased online at the VOICE 2010 web site. And for $100 off the tuition of VOICE 2010, just click here and enter the Registration Code: VOXTRA (all caps).

ABOUT ROB PAULSEN

Rob Paulsen is originally from Detroit, MI, and always loved cartoons as a kid. He also aspired to be a professional hockey player.

Ironically, acting was something to "fall back on" - and even though Rob voiced numerous characters in Warner Bros. cartoons (Tazmania, Tiny Toon Adventures) - he is best known as the voice of the boisterous and energetic laboratory mouse, Pinky, on the hit series, Pinky & the Brain.

Rob moved to California where he began his career in the early 1980s doing various characters on G.I. Joe and The Tranformers, before landing his long-term role as the voice of the witty Raphael on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

He was then signed with Warner Bros. for the series Animaniacs, where he developed the voices of Yakko Warner, Dr. Otto Von Scratchensniff, and Pinky.

With over 2,000 half-hours of animation to his credit, Rob's versatility shines in his starring role as the voice of Yakko on the Peabody and the two-time Emmy award-winning series Animaniacs.

Check out his creds on IMDB. You'll be blown away by the amount of VO work Rob has done!

ABOUT MAURICE LAMARCHE

Maurice LaMarche is perhaps the best sound-alike artist in the industry, and is best known for his character "The Brain" in the Warner Brothers series, Pinky & the Brain - and for his dead-on impressions of Orson Welles.

During a 10-year career in stand-up comedy, he toured with such acts as Rodney Dangerfield, George Benson, Kool & The Gang, George Carlin and David Sanborn, which culminated in a breakout appearance on HBO's The 9th Annual Young Comedians Special.

His most famous character, "The Brain," from the Emmy-winning Pinky and the Brain, is a take-off on actor Orson Welles. The inspiration for his impression came from a recording of Orson ranting during the taping of a British frozen peas commercial.

He has also provided voices for The Transformers series, and was the voice of Egon Spengler in The Real Ghost Busters series, which he reprised for Extreme Ghostbusters in the late 1990s.

And we've all heard his numerous characters on the series Futurama, as well as many other TV shows.

In 2003, Maurice was even part of an answer on the game show, Jeopardy, when the question was asked, "What is The Brain?" Do you suppose that's how you know you've really "made it?"
