Deb Munro's Wednesday TeleVoice Workshops:
Practice Audition Acrobatics On April 28 Call
April 27, 2010

What are you doing on the third Wednesday of every month?

It's a good time to take a voice-over training break - in the convenience of your home - at a TeleVoice Workshop with leading voice talent and trainer Deb Munro. There are two session times to choose from: 2 to 4 p.m. or 8 to 10 p.m. Eastern time.

Munro is the creator of this year's popular Audition Acrobatics / Voice Pitch workshop weekends across the North America (the remainder are scheduled for Canadian cities - see below for more).

And "Audition Acrobatics" is the topic of the TeleVoice Workshop this Wednesday, April 28.

"This is a hands-on mini workshop that will make a significant difference in your voice-over auditions," says Munro, whose Mic N Me production and education studio is based near Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

Just four students are admitted to the TeleVoice workshops, which are conducted via telephone, Skype or a free Internet phone service. And it's a more economical way to learn than with private in-person, workshop or telephone-based training.

YOUR LEVEL AND PACE ...

Munro says she tailors each class to meet the individuals' needs.

"Students can follow the class curriculum, or I'll create a session plan that works for them," she explains. For that reason, she'll want to communicate with attendees prior to the session about their participation preferences.

Tuition for the April 28 class is $105. For details and to register, please contact Munro at televoice@micnme.com, or call 604-459-5559

AUDITIONS FOCUS

At the April 28 workshop, Munro will review the voice-over audition process from beginning to end, revealing techniques to help students stand out from the rest.

"Each talent will be catered to, depending on his or her level of experience," Munro says, "and all sessions will be recorded and sent to attendees."

Specifically, this TeleVoice Workshop will feature:
  • techniques for expanding voice skills,
  • work on current auditions,
  • honest direction, without sugarcoating,
  • individual mic time,
  • Q&A,
  • the biz of the biz, and
  • marketing.
IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS

Munro's in-person weekend workshops - teaching Audition Acrobatics and The Voice Pitch (marketing), are coming to four Canadian cities:
  • Toronto, May 22-23
  • Calgary, June 19-20
  • Edmonton, June 26-27, and
  • Regina, Sept. 25-26
"This is a results-oriented experience that will make a difference," says Munro. "Students will discover secrets from the casting room and decision makers - techniques to help them stand out in auditions.

"They'll also create a comprehensive marketing package to get ahead of the game."

Attendance at the workshops includes a free Voice Biz Handbook.

Tuition is $395 for the full weekend; $250 for attending one day; and $100 to audit a class (observe but not participate).

For details and to register for workshops, contact Munro at workshops@micnme.com, or call 604-459-5559.
