Auditions: Shape Up Your Booking Ratio With
'Acrobatics' Workshops & March 30 Webinar
March 20, 2010

How's your audition / booking ratio lately? Want a crack at winning MORE in-person and online auditions?

Fortunately, you've got two options: train with top voice talent Deb Munro live at workshops and/or a March 30 webinar presented by VoiceOverXtra.

Option 1: In-Person Workshops

Improve your skills and audition savvy by working with Munro in person at Audition Acrobatics Workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada this year (bring sun tan lotion to Hawaii in April!).

Audition Acrobatics is Day 1 of Munro's popular workshop weekend, followed by The Voice Pitch on Day 2. And Munro is giving VoiceOverXtra readers a perk: $50 off the weekend tuition (be sure to mention VoiceOverXtra for your discount).

The locations include:
  • Hawaii, April 17-18
  • Orlando, April 17018
  • Tacoma (Seattle), May 1-2
  • Toronto, May 22-23
  • Regina, Sept. 25-26
She's also teaching a session at the giant VOICE 2010 conference in Los Angeles, June 2-5.

Option 2: Webinar March 30

From the comfort and convenience of your home, attend Munro's Audition Acrobatics Webinar - presented by VoiceOverXtra on Tuesday night, March 30.

For 90 minutes or so, Munro will teach auditioning skills - giving online directions, sharing techniques - and answering questions in a lively Q&A.

All registered attendees will also receive a free recording of the webinar - for future study or in case they can't make the live event.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN & DO ...

For both in-person and online auditions, workshop and webinar attendees will learn how to:
  • audition current scripts,
  • interpret copy and specs,
  • discover clues in the copy,
  • take risks to stand out and win,
  • choose the right read,
  • receive directions,
  • learn what the client really wants,
  • determine the right delivery character, and
  • much more.
CONTAGIOUS PASSION

Munro's passion for voice-overs and teaching is contagious.

Based near Vancouver, B.C., Canada, she presents Mic N Me educational workshops across the U.S. and Canada. Her voice-over work includes announcing the 2009 Gemini Awards, major corporate projects, TV and game animation, and much more.

"I am a card-carrying member of the Deb Munro fan club," says Bob Bergen, well-know voice talent (including as the voice of Porky Pig, Tweety and many more characters), and a trainer himself. "She's the real deal."
